Available data sources

Feide allows data owners to make new data sources available in a way that make them easy to use by service providers.

All data sources that are available are either listed in Feide Customer Portal under the Data Source tab or in Dataporten Dashboard under the organization tab listed under API gatekeeper.

Feide also provide some API endpoints for common Feide data that can be used by services. Click here for more information on these APIs

If you have data that may be interesting for other services, you can set up your own data source (API).

Data sources in Feide Customer Portal

Note

All new data sources should be registered and managed in Feide Customer Portal. Old data sources are listed in Dataporten Dashboard. See Data sources in Dataporten Dashboard. At present, only sources with a single data owner can be registered using the Feide Customer Portal. Sources with multiple data owners need to be registered in Dataporten Dashboard for now.

Under the data source tab in Feide Customer Portal you can see the data sources available through Feide. This list contains all data sources that have been made public by the API owner. Internal data sources can only be seen by the owner.

If your organization has registered a data source, it is available under the Provided by <name of the organization> tab.

If your organization has services that use a data source, they can be found under the In use by <name of the organization> tab.

Data sources in Dataporten Dashboard

Note

Only data sources that are registered in Dataporten Dashboard are listed there. Other data sources are listed in Feide Customer Portal. See Data sources in Feide Customer Portal. At this moment only sources with a single data owner can be registered in Feide Customer Portal. Sources with multiple data owners need to be registered using Dataporten Dashboard for now.

Under the 3rd party APIs tab on one of your services in Dataporten Dashboard you can see the data source available through Feide. This list contains all data sources that have been created using Dataporten Dashboard, including internal and testing/development sources.

Data sources that you have made available yourself will be visible in the My APIs tab.

If you are registered as an administrator in the Feide customer portal, you will be able to login to the Dataporten Dashboard with the same credentials. For users without a Feide account, choose Feide Guest users when logging in.

OIDC services that are registered in the Feide Customer Portal get synchronized to Dataporten Dashboard, so you don’t need to register a new service to create or use data sources.

Some APIs may be made available instantly without moderation, while others may require moderation by either the data provider or each data owner (the organization providing data)
